This medium roast from Huehuetenango opens with milk chocolate that transitions into a sweet orange finish, while a mild, citrusy acidity rounds out an absolutely delectable cup.It comes from ASOBAGRI, a cooperative founded in 1989 by twenty Mayan coffee and cardamom farmers and now more than 1,200 members across roughly 30 villages in the Huehuetenango region, ringed by the Cuchumatanes Mountains and the Maxbal Forest Reserve. The co-op helps its farmers adopt sustainable, organic methods that preserve and enhance the flavor of this already spectacular coffee.Every batch is screened by a certified third-party laboratory for mold, mycotoxins, and pesticides, with no detectable mold, Aflatoxin, Ochratoxin, or pesticides found.
